Provenance
Nothing on this site
is invented.
Every biographical and career claim published here was checked before it was allowed to appear: against primary records where they exist, against Andreas’s own first-hand record where his files are the only source. Where neither would serve, the claim was reworded or removed. This page explains the method, because in an era of generated content a claim of authenticity is worth little unless you can see how it was earned.
Maintained as part of the site itself. Last revised September 2026.
The record
How the facts on this site were established
One rule governs the writing here: nothing goes on the site that has not been verified or is not known first-hand. When a claim could not be substantiated, it was cut or reframed, however good it sounded.
The numbers. Before this site was written, 91 separate claims and research questions touching Andreas’s education, performances, teaching and press coverage were catalogued and researched, each graded by the strength of its evidence. 64 were cleared for publication. 27 (more than a quarter) were withheld: some because they could not be proven to the standard this site sets for itself, others because they were private, or internal research notes never meant for publication.
The cornerstone claims, the ones the biography rests on, went through a second, deeper pass against primary sources. Of those 18: 11 were confirmed independently; 4 rest on Andreas’s own professional records, and even there one was reworded when a detail failed checking; 3 could not be verified, and they do not appear on this site at all.
What that looks like in practice. The Juilliard education is not taken from a biography: Juilliard’s own digital archive holds sixteen dated performance and recital programmes naming Andreas between 2006 and 2011, and his name is printed in the school’s own graduation programmes for 2009 and 2011. A festival appearance circulating with the wrong year in secondary sources was corrected against the primary record. One premiere billing was removed entirely when research produced evidence against it rather than for it. And where the Vocal Excellence programme takes up to thirty singers, this site says the places are capped at thirty. A cap is not an attendance figure, and the difference matters.
Press quotations are never translated or paraphrased. Critics are quoted in the words they printed, in the language they printed them. On the Greek pages, reviews from the international press remain in English with Greek framing around them: a paraphrase presented as a quotation would be a small forgery.
Photography. The performance images across this site are taken from the real performances they belong to. The portrait on the About and Teaching pages, which also serves as the preview image when any page of this site is shared, is a photograph of Andreas. Until September 2026 it was not. While no suitable photograph existed, a stand-in produced with image-generation software stood in its place, and this page said so. It has been replaced, and the generated image is now nowhere on the site. Photography for editorial use is available on request.
Corrections. If you believe any claim on this site does not hold, write to aroditis.andreas@gmail.com. It will be checked again, and corrected or removed. That includes this page.
The same discipline applies to how the site is built: no tracking, no third-party clutter, nothing hidden. See the colophon.
