How this site
is made.

A note on construction, for the curious: the way a thing is built says something about the person it belongs to.

Construction

Plainly, and made to last

Plainly made. Every page here is plain HTML: no framework, no page builder, no content system. The entire site is a set of files a curious person could read in an afternoon, and it will still open unchanged in a browser twenty years from now.

Private by default. No cookies, no advertising trackers, no social pixels. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so reading these pages tells no one else you were here. There are a few deliberate exceptions: video that loads only when you press play, a spam check on the contact form, and the site assistant, which sends a question to this site’s own host only when you ask one. Each of them is disclosed in the privacy notice.

Works everywhere. With JavaScript switched off, everything still reads and navigates. On a slow connection the words arrive first, and the pages are built so that nothing shifts or jumps as the rest follows. Most pages here weigh less than a single photograph does on most websites. The press pages are typeset for print, because journalists print.

True. Every biographical claim was checked before publication, against primary records or Andreas’s own; what was supported by neither was not published. That has its own page: provenance.

Typeset in Literata and Inter, self-hosted under the Open Font License, in Latin and Greek. Hosted at the network edge, a few milliseconds from Cyprus.

Built in Limassol, 2026. If something here doesn’t work as it should: aroditis.andreas@gmail.com.
