Details

What is and is not collected

If you send an enquiry. The name, email address, enquiry type, and message you submit are used for one purpose: to answer you. The form is handled entirely within this site’s own hosting (Cloudflare) and delivered to Andreas by email via Resend, a transactional email provider covered by a Data Processing Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses, and certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; it is the only third-party service used to send you enquiries. From there, your message arrives in Andreas’s own Gmail inbox, like any other email he receives, under Google’s own privacy policy. Your details are never sold, shared further, or added to any marketing list. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them, and Andreas periodically clears older messages from his inbox. Ask at any time for your enquiry to be deleted, and it will be. We process this on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you choose to send us.

If you book a lesson slot. The “Book a lesson slot” buttons open Google’s appointment scheduling in a new tab. Booking is handled there by Google, under Google’s own privacy policy and terms. You provide the details Google’s booking form asks for, including your name and email address, along with the slot you choose, and the confirmed booking is stored in Andreas’s Google Calendar. It is used only to hold and confirm your lesson, never for marketing. Ask at any time for a booking to be cancelled and removed, and it will be.

If you use the site assistant. The chat assistant answers questions using only the content of this website. When you send it a message, that message and a few of the most recent earlier messages in the same conversation (so that it can follow the thread) are sent to Cloudflare, Inc., which already hosts this site and acts as our data processor, to generate a reply with an AI model running on Cloudflare’s own network. Cloudflare may process it outside the European Union, under the Data Processing Addendum that forms part of its terms. Under its terms, Cloudflare does not use this content to train AI models. This site does not store your chat messages: the conversation is kept only in your browser tab, is cleared when you press “Start again”, and normally disappears when you close the tab. To prevent abuse, the number of messages from one connection is counted in the server’s working memory for one minute; the count is never written anywhere and is discarded once it expires. Please don’t share personal or health details in the chat. Answers are written automatically and can be wrong; for anything that matters, use the contact form, which reaches Andreas himself. Using the assistant is entirely optional, and we rely on our legitimate interest in answering visitors’ questions about the site.

Cookies. This site sets none. There is no advertising network, no social pixel, and no cross-site tracking, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Visitor statistics. None are collected. This site runs no analytics script of any kind, from any provider, so nothing here counts your visit or records which pages you read. There is no cookie banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to. Should that ever change, the tool will be a cookieless, aggregate-only one, and this paragraph will say so before it is switched on.

Fonts and images. Everything the site needs is served from this domain. No web fonts or images are fetched from third-party servers. Nothing on the page reports your visit anywhere.

Spam check. The contact page runs Cloudflare Turnstile, an automated check that tells human visitors apart from spam bots. It loads automatically when you open the page and may briefly exchange technical signals (not the contents of your message) with Cloudflare’s own servers as part of that check. It sets no advertising cookies and builds no profile of you. See Cloudflare’s own privacy policy for how Turnstile itself works.

Videos. Performance videos on the Media page are hosted by YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play on a specific video; at that point YouTube receives the request and applies its own privacy policy. Players use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which limits tracking. If you never press play, YouTube is never contacted.

Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. That is Cloudflare’s processing, described in their own privacy documentation.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you may ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, ask for its use to be restricted while a question about it is resolved, or object to its use (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing, which this site does not do in any case). For anything on this site that means emailing Andreas. The only places your details can be are his email inbox and, if you booked a slot, his Google Calendar. If you believe your data has been mishandled you may also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

Under-18s. Enquiries and lesson bookings for a student under 18 should come from a parent or guardian. The Vocal Excellence programme publishes its own safeguarding policy.
