Vocal Excellence:
serious training, closer to home.
Vocal Excellence is a summer programme in Limassol for singers aged 12 to 21, founded and directed by Andreas Aroditis. Up to thirty places, one intensive week, an international faculty — and a simple idea: young singers in Cyprus should not have to cross an ocean to find serious training.
The idea
Why it exists
When Andreas set out to train seriously as a singer, the road led away from Cyprus — to New York, Aspen, and Tel Aviv. Vocal Excellence is built around the training he found there: daily one-to-one work, honest audition preparation, attention to the body as well as the voice, and the discipline of performing for an audience at the end of it.
The programme is deliberately small. Places are capped at thirty each summer, so that every participant is heard, coached, and challenged individually — not lost in a crowd.
“I came back to Cyprus with the idea that I could build something here that would do the same thing — give young singers access to the level of coaching that changed everything for me, without asking them to leave their country or go into debt to get it.”
